Tata Nexon EV – Price, Range, Features, Variants, Colours in 2024

Tata has recently unveiled the upgraded Tata Nexon EV Dark edition, expanding its Dark edition range. Priced at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the new edition features a sleek, all-black theme both inside and out, offering a distinctive and sporty appearance.

Exterior Design

The Nexon EV Dark edition boasts a fully blacked-out exterior design. This includes black-painted alloy wheels, ORVMs, and bumpers, along with “Dark” badging on the fender, giving the vehicle a striking and cohesive look.

Interior Design

Inside, the all-black theme continues, enhancing the car’s sporty appeal. While this design choice may slightly reduce the perceived spaciousness compared to the standard variant, it provides a sleek and cohesive interior aesthetic.

Features

The 2023 Tata Nexon EV comes packed with new features. Notably, it includes a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display, and a 360-degree camera system. Additionally, features like a sunroof, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, keyless entry, and push-button start are retained. The Nexon EV also offers innovative vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging technology, allowing users to power appliances or charge other EVs using its battery.

Safety

On the safety front, the Nexon EV is well-equipped, featuring six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, ensuring a secure driving experience.

Powertrain Options

The 2023 Nexon EV offers two powertrain options: a long-range variant with a 40.5kWh battery and a medium-range variant with a 30kWh battery. The medium-range variant produces 129PS/215Nm and offers an ARAI-claimed range of 325km, while the long-range variant, equipped with a more powerful electric motor, delivers 143PS/215Nm and an ARAI-claimed range of 465km.

Charging

Charging the Nexon EV varies depending on the variant. Using a 7.2kW AC charger, the medium-range variant takes approximately 4.3 hours, while the long-range variant requires around 6 hours. With a regular charger, charging times extend to 10.5 hours and 15 hours, respectively. However, a DC fast charger can recharge the battery from 10-80% in just 56 minutes, regardless of the variant.

Dimensions and Rivals

Measuring 3994mm in length, 1811mm in width, and 1616mm in height, the 2023 Tata Nexon EV offers a spacious interior. With a ground clearance of 205mm (medium range) / 190mm (long range) and a wheelbase of 2498mm, it ensures a comfortable ride.
